Aboard Lake Bohinj's Tourist Boat

Triglav National Park in Slovenia, just across Austria's southeast border, has some of the most spectacular scenery of any national park anywhere. In the next few days I'll show you why I think that but today join us on a visit to the park's quiet Lake Bohinj aboard the thoughtfully-named "Tourist Boat."

It's a lovely 60 year-old electric boat but on this, the last tour of the day, we are the only tourists aboard.

It has open doors...

...and if you're the only passengers on board, you can hang over the side and take in the sights.

I would love to go camping here...if only we had brought our tent.

The small, medieval church of St. John the Baptist stands at the end of the lake.
